Volunteerism Working Group

Much of the everyday work of managing recreation trails in Arizona is completed using the good will and hard work of passionate volunteers. Recruiting, training, managing and retaining volunteers becomes a skill often overlooked within the scope of Outdoor Recreation, and the resource of labor can feel difficult to access and maintain.

The Volunteerism Working Group aims to pool resources and work together to maximize organizations' capacity to work with volunteers and to facilitate passionate trail users finding opportunities that meet their schedules and interests.
